Thach Ban Joint Stock Company (TBC) which was formerly an enterprise manufacturing bricks was established in 1959. Through 50 years of manufacturing and trading, together with continuous development of building materials industry in Vietnam, Thach Ban Bricks Enterprise has become a state-owned company belonging to Viglacera Corporation directly under Ministry of Construction. The company has officially converted into a Joint Stock Company since January, 2005.
ThachBan JSC has founded 7 members through out country with main products such as: Granite tiles, Ceramics tiles, Clay bricks, Grindstone, building and transferring technology in production of building materials and civil works.
During the innovation of country, TBC is always the pioneer in the fields of manufacturing building materials in Vietnam, contributing to the process of industrialization and modernization of building materials industry. The products of TBC have got firm foothold in marker and been exported to many countries all over the world. TBC has been given several great awards by Ministry of Construction and Vietnamese Government.
Some great landmarks
-February, 1959: The former company was established with name: “Thach Ban Bricks Workshop”
-1962-1990: Thach Ban Brick and Tile Enterprise with capacity up to 20 million pieces per year.
-1991-1997: Period of essential changes: Company invested more deeply, replaced all old equipment, produced bricks by Tunnel kiln, Building and transferring technology for 33 Tunnel tiles factory through out countries.
-August 1994: Changed name to Thach Ban Company, diversified functions and fields of manufacturing and trading.
-1995: Exported bricks to Singapore.
-1995-1996: Established first factory specializing in producing artificial granite tiles in Vietnamwith complete equipment and technology imported from Italywith capacity of first stage equals to 1,000,000 m2 per year. December 1996, General Secretary of The VietnamCommunist Party-Mr. Do Muoi visited company.
-1997: Transferring second stage technology, enhancing effect and productivity of Tunnel tiles factory invested in first stage. TBC has helped to make changes from root brick baking method in Vietnamand put production technology of Vietnamup keeping pace with other countries in region.
-1998: Thach Ban granite tiles have gained Prestige in domestic market and been exported to Korea.
-1999: Red Bricks factory converted into Joint Stock Company.
-2000: Invested second production line, raising capacity up to 2,000,000 m2 per year. Started to apply Quality Control System ISO 9000.
-February 2002: President of Socialist Republic of Vietnam – Mr. Tran Duc Luong visited company.
-2002: Established TBSC2 Joint Stock Company in Ha Tay province, TBSC3 Joint Stock Company in Binh Duong province specializing in manufacturing Tunnel Tiles and Dong Do Grindstone Joint Stock Company in Gia Lam, Hanoi.
-2003: Established Thach Ban Mosaic Joint Stock Company.
-2005: Converted into Thach Ban Viglacera Joint Stock Company. Established Northern Thach Ban Viglacera JSC and Central Thach Ban Viglacera JSC majoring in export and import.
-December 2005: Transfered Thach Ban experts to Algeri under contract “Operating Granite Factory C.GRES in ORAN”.
-2006: Established Thach Ban Construction JSC which was formerly Thach Ban Construction Enterprise. Up to now, company has founded more than 90 Tunnel tiles through out the country.
-Started project of moving company to new place far from inhabitants’ area in order to invest a new urban building at Thach Ban Ward and Commercial centre on Nguyen Van Linh Street.
